Tioman Jungle Trekking

Guided Trekking and Hiking around Juara

Tioman Island only has limited development in coastal areas, leaving the interior jungle primitive and wild. There are many species of plant and wildlife endemic only to Tioman, and a wide variety of trekking attractions such as waterfalls and summits.

Get off the hot beach for a day and cool down under a canopy of rainforest trees.

Much of the trekking around Juara requires a local guide. Because the village is so isolated, it is more likely for tourists to get lost while trekking into the forest on overgrown or natural trails. Almost all trails are ungroomed and unmarked. A local guide can keep you safe and tell you about native jungle species, so you’re sure to have a relaxed and good time.

If you want to trek alone or without a guide, you can still experience much of Tioman’s flora and fauna from the roads or groomed trails.
